Okay, I’ am signing up for my townships softball this year, and I need some tips. This is my initially year, and I have never played softball….but I cant say if I’ am excellent or terrible yet. Now, here comes my questions. What is the alteration between a slow pitch and a quick pitch? How can I tell if the pitch is going to be inside or outside the box? What gear do I buy? What should I result in to the initially do? And many other basic questions. Delight be specific and thank you!!!

I’m fourteen years ancient and i play slow pitch softball. I place of safeguard’t been playing long but i have a lot of natural ability, heart, and by and large athleticism. I do feel as if i have a dis-financial support compared to my other teammates taking into account they all played in view of the fact that they were three, there parents are very involved with softball, and they have all the expensive gear. But i managed to learn all by myself like i do with all else and im pretty excellent and better then a lot of players but i wish i may maybe be the best. Also i pitch and i just ongoing at the end of last time of year but when should i try quick pitch? I feel left in the dust in view of the fact that all my team mates are on roving teams and tournament teams but im baffled on even how to get on one. I’ve struggling to play softball, I use to beg my mom when i was modest to start softball childish but she didnt let me, she never went to my games, ever adept with me, i was alone when i hit my initially home run, and the only business i would question for on my birthday was softball gear and i even went to my game on my birthday. Also, the couch whos team always wins couches the all star team ( which i was on last year) and he despises me! he even makes fun of me and i cried on the meadow. He never played me and he never even knew how excellent i may maybe play! One last business when i played on the all star team it was all the couches kids and the ordinary people and i didnt feel pleased in view of the fact that i play softball to laugh and be with acquaintances but persons people arent my acquaintances. I have fun playing on a fixed team and we all take cinema and what not but i wanna go far in this. WHAT SHOULD I DO!!

I’m male & am going to play catcher for a slow pitch softball team this year.

What gear – if any – do you use? I’m not sure any defending gear is really mandatory – but just wondering if any would be not compulsory.

Same business with the mitt….do you just use a fixed ol’ softball glove – or are there only one of its kind catchers mitts for softball?

I like the gloves better in quick pitch then the ones in slow pitch there is much more variety. I played baseball for the past 9 years and now that I’m out of high school Im going to start playing slow pitch softball so I was wondering if its alright to use a quick pitch glove in a slow pitch league?

i went to my 2nd softball do now, it’s to learn how to quick pitch. when we were warming up, just playing bump, i missed catching the ball nearly every release time!! im new at softball. i tried out for slow pitch softball last year and didnt make it in view of the fact that ive never played before to.
at the 1st do i catched nearly every ball but now i couldnt bump any and i reckon its in view of the fact that it was terrified a modest harder. the 1st do i was warming up with one of the girls but shes not that excellent so she didnt toss hard but now i was warming up with the coach in view of the fact that there was an potholed number of girls and i didnt have a partner.
i reckon i couldnt bump in view of the fact that im frightened of getting hit by the ball. frequently in the face, but the ball is never terrified at my face. so it has to be the way im catching it.
my acquaintances were adage its in view of the fact that my glove is facing down when i bump so the ball cascade out or sometimes i accurate the glove before to the ball gets to the inside
what should i do?
let it hit me? now it hit me in the shin and there was a huge bump there for a while but when i got hit, it didnt affect me at all. a further hit my wrist, last week the girl threw it and it hit me in the foot, last year i was playing by myself i threw it up in the air i looked down in view of the fact that i thought i was going to rip over a soccer ball, i looked back up and it hit me in the eye (that one killed!) but when it hits me i dont really care but when the ball is coming i get frightened, its eerie, so it has to be the way im catching it…

I have a quick-pitch glove and bat, but want to play recreational slow-pitch softball. I am wondering if it is ordinary for some people to have a quick-pitch glove and bat while playing slow-pitch softball. I am primarily worried about being able to use my glove, which I picked in view of the fact that it fits me well. What are y’all’s thoughts?

I used to play softball – about 10 years ago. Always just used an ancient hand-me-down glove (which was fantastic but unfortunately is now ruined.) Now I want to play over again and find I am very baffled about the different selections of gloves. I will doubtless play softball (as there aren’t too many women baseball leagues) but want to be able to comfortably toss around a baseball, too. I don’t know what position I’ll be playing as I’ve played every position before to, most often third base and fleeting stop. I have no thought if I’ll be playing quick pitch or slow pitch – I really just want a basic, excellent, well rounded glove.

So what should I be looking for? What’s the alteration between quick and slow pitch gloves? Sizes? Leathers? Etc. My budget is not too much – no more than about or, if I really really need to, I may maybe push it to .
