Two questions: Is this legal? Will my friend get in trouble?

In past years, a supporter of mine has donated generous sums to pay for baseball/softball uniforms and gear for a local league. He thought it was a non profit and they gave him a tax id number. Turns out they do NOT have non profit reputation and the tax id number is for the town parks and recovery department. The league is NOT part of the town gov’t—they’ve just been by the number.

We establish this out when his brother J got his employer (a generous string store) to agree to donate $$$$ to fix the fields. He questioned the league for a tax id and they gave him the number but told him it really belonged to parks and rec in view of the fact that they aren’t a registered non-profit or even with permission an establishment. J’s boss said that by that tax id was illegal and he wouldn’t donate.

Is this illegal? (There’s also a bank account with the tax id on it)
May maybe my supporter get in vex for deducting past donations?
Should he do/say whatever business about this?
PS The league is run by a group of 4 people and there is no public accounting for how much money is raised and everywhere it goes.

What outfield gloves would you recommend?

I am looking for a excellent outfield glove that is excellent feature and lasting. One that will potentially have a excellent lifespan would be fantastic too, but whatever business that is a excellent regard for its price is fine. I play select and plot on playing for my high school later this year. What brands do you urge? I have read that Rawlings makes feature gloves that last for a while. I also have my eye on a couple of Mizuno gloves.

Right now I am looking at:

    http://www.rawlingsgear.com/baseball/baseball-gloves/7sc127fd-rh.html

    http://www.rawlingsgear.com/Baseball/Gloves/PRO601DC.html

    http://www.mizunousa.com/gear.nsf/1/11dia1-globbfield-mvpp/311413?opendocument&div=baseball/softball&cat=11dia1-globbfield-mvpp

I am willing to spend no more than 0, but if you can win over me that a glove priced only a modest more than 0 is very value while, then I will consider it. I should also say that I am left handed. If you have had any of the gloves I have programmed above, delight tell me your experience with them and if you urge them or not, and also if they look excellent to you or not. If you can urge whatever business that you have had a excellent experience with or that you know is value the money, then delight do so.
    Thanks for any help!
